Maintenance/Road Trip Prep
Hey all, I am about to get out of school in Kentucky. My first assignment as a young Army officer is at Fort Lewis, Washington. I am driving my 06 SS/SC there over the course of a 5 day trek, stopping along the way.
Just was wondering what I should have looked at by my mechanic before I head out. Here's my stats:
59,000 miles.
Tires are in good condition.
Stage 2 belt is brand new.
Stage 2 injectors are brand new.
Tuned properly to specifications.
Oil needs to be changed but that's obvious.
Mainly looking for any components I should get check that I might have overlooked so I don't run into any "surprises" on the highway. It is a 2,300 mi. trip one way!
Thanks.

check your coolant levels, check your washer fluid, make sure tires are inflated to proper PSI, maybe check your spark plugs, double check to make sure your wheel lugs are tightened to the correct torque, make sure all your lights work, thats pretty much it, and when u get here let me know!! im stationed in seattle in the Navy and i have an SS/TC Sedan, ill get you hooked up with all the SS guys here, look forward to meeting you and i hope i helped a little lol
