Maintenance schedule?

So I just bought a 2008 Cobalt SS. Clean car and runs good. Stock other than a k&n typhoon intake. It's got 117458 miles, and who knows what work previous owners have done to the vehicle. So my question is what kind of maintenance should I do? So far I was thinking plugs, coolant flush, and since it's over 100000 the timing chains too. Is there anything else I should do?

First of all welcome to the forum!

when you get the plugs make sure you get the ones from AcDelco and they come pre gapped.
I would then clean your valves, whether it be, walnut blasting or with some type of gunk spray and a wire brush
Replace your CABs and trans mounts.

other then that you should be good to go. the one i would def stress the most though is getting those valves cleaned.

I would do a full fluid service with GM stuff, coolant, brake/clutch, and trans. I would personally prepare for timing/balance chain before 150k, and all the guides with new oil sprayers. For a stock car ACDelco plugs are the way to go, they are pre-gapped but always check them. Been a few times at work the end was pushed in from being dropped and had to regap them. And as hawk stated definitely do a good valve cleaning and put a new oem gasket in. The intake gasket is not reusable like most vehicles. Two methods you can use, liquid/spray which makes less mess and takes less prep but can takes up to 3-4days and multiple soaks to get best results. That or walnut blast which can be done in one day but the media goes everywhere and prep/cleanup is most of that time.

Trans oil change wouldn't be a bad idea either. Go with OEM.
