me vs GM.
me vs GM.
ok in the previous post about my rims, ive been having probs, then they renfinished the worst one, the others are good just a lil chip/peel and thats it, still unaceptable if you aks me so after picking my car up today, it was in the bodyshop for a paint defect on my quarter panel over my drivers tail light, ya they fixed it, but i have a feeling ill be back, onto the rims, the DSM wouldnt budge, he sees nothing wrong with them, he dosnt see the defects and he dosnt see the minor difference between the refinished rims ok, so the body shop manager knows that there are defects in my rims and cant do much cuz of this ass hair dsm so he gave me a number and directions to a powder coating place he highly recomends so when the wheels come off for the winter im sendin my rims there, and the price from what i told for all four rims is decent, atleast i know i will never have stupid issues again when they are powder coated. The body shop did good work on my defects and even found a few more they fixed up for me,i can kinda tell they worked on the quater panel but no one else would notice unless i showed u, anyways just venting and im sure the reason for the chome polished rims in 07 is because of these problems , so in sayin all that if i ever notice a defect in my body paint im gonan wait until 30000ks and blast em with warranty work lol, hopefully thats not the case, sorry for the novel just had to vent.
I wouldn't accept paying out of my own pocket to have them powder coated. The simple answer would be to take it to another dealer. Explain your problems and see what happens. Also call GM customer service and let them know the problem you have been having with him. They will be able to work everything out and possible get your rims replaced.

Also not to count the amount of free stuff you get out of them. I have not yet had to pay for any of the oil changes on either of my cobalts.

GM Customer Service is a joke.. I was on hold for 35 minutes today while they tried to locate a supervisor. Locate a supervisor? Come on, think up a better excuse than that, for chrissakes!
MAN THAT IS ABOUT THE STUPIDEST QUOTE I HAVE HEARD. IMAGINE THAT IN A CALL CENTER THERE IS PROBABLY 500 EMPLOYEES AND 5 SUPERVISORS. IS IT SO UNIMAGINABLE THAT MAYBE YOU WERE NOT THE ONLY PERSON IN NEED OF HELP? MAYBE OTHER PEOPLE HAD CALLED IN BEFORE YOU AND WERE TALKING TO THE SUPERVISORS, AND IF THERE ON WITH THE SUPERVISORS YOU WOULD THINK THAT PROBABLY THEY HAVE PRETTY BIG PROBLEMS OR ARE JUST MORONS THAT LIKE TO COMPLAIN AND PROBABLY ARE TAKING UP ALOT OF TIME. SORRY HATE TO RANT BUT IM SO SICK OF THE ME, ME, ME PHILOSOPHY LIKE SOME POOR CALL CENTER EMPLOYEE REALLY WANTED TO LEAVE YOU ON HOLD LONGER SO THAT THEY COULD ENDURE EVEN WORSE ABUSE FROM YOU.
SORRY ABOUT THE CAPITALS BUT AT WORK AND COMPUTER IS SHOT

Ok. I work in a call center and the last thing to do is yell at call center employee's. The more you yell the less they listen or care. Your best bet is write down everything you want to say. Call them up first explain your situation nicely and calmly to the agent. Express your frustration but be willing to work with the agent on the line. If at that point they still are unable to help ask for a supervisor, and reassure the agent that the complaint is not about them but just about the system itself and would like some one higher up to look at the issue. Once you get the supervisor stay calm and cool but sound frustrated. number one thing is do not yell and listen to what they have to say. Do not talk over them and if they do it to you ask for the same respect. And as for waiting for a supervisor yes the supervisors also have meetings, and other duties they have to do other then just handling "irate" customers. And sometimes it can take a long period of time to get a supervisor but while on hold the agent should get back to you periodically with updates on whats happening.
I'm not in a vaccuum here... I used to do technical support in a call center for two years. There's nothing more frustrating than an irate customer that you are trying to help. (For info, I worked for Country Home Products- think DR Trimmermower/field &brush mower- in Vergennes VT from 2001-2003.)
I did not raise my voice, but did ask that a supervisor call me back about my problem when one was available. So far no one has. Didn't have time to call back today.

I'm also dissapointed with Paint issues too, when I recieved my car back in september I noticed on the first day that there were some scratches in the black paint, talked to the sales manager about it and he said he'd get the salesman to call me back... never did.
My Wheels are also flaking too, and bubbling in some spots, the silver paint on the heater control bezel is flaking off, I have had not one scratch inflicted by me on this car.

Getting GM to do anything, but take your money is like pulling your own teeth out. My SS has a serious engine issue for over a week now in which I've been to two dealers who ADMIT there is a problem, BUT since the the Tech 2 says the car is fine they refused to perform any internal diag.
