Milky Oil.... thoughts?

Just a little background info, I'm running a supercharged 2.4L on 12psi with stock internals. Car runs beautifully, does not hesitate, runs right at about 190 degrees. Outside temp this time of year is around 70-80 degrees.

And here's how the story goes....

Not too long ago i noticed my dipstick wasnt all the way in (just slightly pushed out), now im not sure if this was due to me not pushing it all the way back in the last time i checked my oil (its kinda in a shitty spot since i now have the supercharger in the way) or what, but there was a little bit of oil scattered around misc hoses and wires near the dipstick.

I pull the dipstick out before shoving it in and i notice a little bit of milky oil on the tip. Wipe it clean and then once again check it and same result. I also noticed i had some oil around the valve cover breather (i had just a small filter on the valve cover instead of the hideous line running across the engine compartment) but i noticed that the filter seemed to be clogged with oil (due to excessive crank case pressure blowing oil out of the breather on a hard pulls).

So I changed the oil, removed the clogged filter and put the hose back on the breather but this time with a catch can type setup to catch the oil coming out of the breather so it wouldn't go into the intake/supercharger/intake manifold. I start her up do some runs and the catch can is doing its job beautifully, but what it caught wasn't so beautiful. It was pretty much just foamy oil.

Now I know the first reaction here is most likely going to be "blown headgasket" but i'm doubting that is the problem. Coolant levels are fine, coolant is normal in color, no white smoke of any sort, etc.

So i guess my real questions are:
  • If the dipstick was not sealed, is it possible condensation built up in the engine causing my oil to turn milky?
  • If the valve cover breather is clogged can it cause the oil to turn milky in color? or perhaps moisture was getting in through the breather filter?
  • is it possible that the milky oil that i'm catching in the catch can is infact just the milky oil that was not flushed out with the recent oil change?

any thoughts/questions/comments?

coolant is the most logical...it doesnt take alot of coolant to do that foam

ok, milky oil means one thing......coolant/moisture in your crankcase.......Either through headgasket or something like that.....I would pull the plugs out and see what they look like.....How does the coolant in the jug look?

i dunno if those fail like the lsj. Or did you put the lsj mani on beck? that dont matter anyway cause the mani failure is only the dipstick pop

yea, it can cause oil squirt out of the dipstick or foamy oil, from what i have been told.

you said you changed your oil, are you still getting the milky color?

yea i gotta read better...

has the dipstick popped out again?

it kinda sounds like your getting blowby, and when its releasing the pressure, its squirting some oil out of the crankcase hole. I have the same thing, and i ordered this to fix that. after a full boost run, my dipstick will pop out and squirt 1/4 quart of oil out. its not alot, but thats how its relieving the pressure.

http://www.pfyc.com/pc/GN3020/CMUNDE...er+Filter.html

replaces the oil cap so you dont squirt oil and just releases the pressure

but i also want to say maybe its a head gasket...

My guess is blown headgasket or coolant is leaking from the luminova cores somehow.

milky oil is normally a bad head gasket.

the dipstick has not popped out since. I honestly don't think it ever popped out, i just dont think i pushed it in far enough.

Since the oil pan is different on the 2.4 its dipstick is located to the right, rather than the left of the engein compartment, there's a bunch of **** in the way now that the supercharger and lsj intake manifold and the heat exchanger lines are there.

I do have dual pass so i guess it is possible i'm leaking from the laminova cores.

coolant resivor for my dual pass option B setup is full, so if it is leaking from the laminova cores it would be very very minimal.
