Same thing happened to my shift knob, I've been waiting 3 months for the new shifter to come in, and one time when I was on the highway last week I had to brake really hard and then once I started going my back brakes were making a really loud noise like something was hitting or scraping something. Could this be b/c of warped rotors?

These rotors don't disappate heat very well.. IMO I think they are the standard rotors for all Cobalts, not just the SS, I took a gander yesterday and the rotors look idenitical on my sedan as they do on my SS, there is no part #'s on the rotors so it's making it difficult to see if they really are the same(They look it though). If these are suppose to be performance rotors/brakes on a tuner car then it's a big joke, don't know about you guys but it seems like since they replaced my pads and resurfaced my rotors my braking is much worse. I've even drove 150 miles to see if this thing stopped on a dime the same way it did before, NOT EVEN CLOSE! I do a lot of light to light driving and the braking doesn't seem any better, seems worse actually... won't be long and if I continue to have problems again all summer like I did last summer I am trading this thing in for an STi.

I noticed this which pissed me off was someone was playing around in my car, my gas mileage MPG reader shows a whole 2 1/2 miles less per gallon and they only had it for half a day.... someone was gunning it alot...

i'm starting to believe the rotors are at fault for my bad slow downs... I know swapping rotors the OE rotors are better then almost anything you can buy aftermarket but... once they are resurfaced.. they are never the same..
