Hey guys, this is Scythe_Snake, when me and brandon were polishing my sc, we were putting it back on and a SC bolt fell down into the intake manifold. We tried for a while to get it back but we are resorting to taking the intake mani off and it isn't coming off. how do we take it off. Please help us guys1

 

Should be something like ten bolts holding in on the head.

Did you try a magnet?

 

Did you try getting a magnet down in there? I think there is like 8-9 bolts that hold that on. Sorry I can't help more. I am pretty sure it sucks to get off, I will look around for a how to.

 

You are probably missing one of the bolts on the very bottom of the S/C.

Do you have a Magnet to get the Bolt in the Intake... it couldn't have gone far... you SHOULD be able to reach it.

we tried magnets but they wouldn't come out. We unbolted a few. I will go out and ask him how many he unbolted

It was an interesting day doing Ryan's supercharger. Came off perfectly fine, we got started on it and then his parents called to tell him to come home. So i did the fastest polish job I can, looks like **** lol, and get it ready to go back on. Going back on, my ******* knocked 1 of the bolts down into the intake as described above. We try everything we can to get it, magnets and all, nothing. So we decide to pull the intake many, I'm online looking up removal procedures and our other friend used a piece of nylon and a broken magnet to get it out lol. So we get the car all back together, Ryan starts it up so I can make sure we don't have any seal leaks. He starts it, sits for a second, and forgets its in gear and lets the clutch out and the car hits me and throws me into my car lol. So all in all I retire from working on Ryans car, learned to cover the intake many hole before working on anything, and it was all settled over a nice meal at Taco Bell.

now to the serious part: seeing that the magnets didnt work i think its like 9-10 bolts.

lol, yeah we didnt get far enough to get the rest of the many off but thers 7 up top and must be 2 or 3 bolts on the bottom hidden cause I couldnt find them for ****. But yea thanks for the help again all.

LOL... yeah you learned two important lessons...

1. Always cover holes that parts could fall down
2. Never stand in front of someones car when they are starting the car.

 

ryan you suck at life!!! j/k seriously though i'm glad you got the bolt because that would suck, losing bolts down manifolds FTL!!
