need urgent help

Car is stuck at girlfriends work, and we need both vehicles up and running!!

anyways the car won't start, security light came on 3-4 days ago at random and stayed on but the car kept running. Today after she finished work it wouldn't start.
I went there played with the alarm box under the dash, disconnected the battery, tried boosting it. Nothing.

I then tried to jump the starter with a screw driver ( old Bush tricks haha) , it has power, and spins freely but wouldn't catch and turn the motor. Is this my problem!?

More than likely needs a Passlock sensor, I'm not positive where they are on g5s but they are normally on the steering column on every other gm

If you can get access to a decent scanner that can read the bcm then you can confirm that a little more

That would be the preferred tool to use obviously, but I have a OTC genesis/evo that can read every module aswell
