New car Please help!!

I just purchased a 06 cobalt ss/sc injen cai, 77.9 pulley, and gm performance exhaust. Unsure about the injectors and the rest of the mods because I got the car from a carlot. I was driving it the other day and downshifted from 4th to 3rd to pass and the car went into reduced power mode and ran like crap barely made it home. Shoots code p1182 and 0068. When I reset it its fine for a while and it does this randomly. Ive researched it and have found no solid answer any input is appreciated Thanks.

Both codes deal with seeing to much air flow then its suppose to by the set tables.
Could be your maf sensor needs to be cleaned.
The pcm compares the air that goes by the maf to what it sees at the scip(located on the supercharger,Check this connector and wiring for damage)

-check for vac leaks
-cai for leaks(injens tend to wear holes in them where it goes close to the rad support from engine movement)also the connection of the filter and to the throttle body.

But then again is it tuned (does it have the orginal pcm in it or a aftermarket one)

found a hole in the intake where it goes through the hole down into the fender well. I bought the car from a car lot with the mods already done to it so I couldnt tell ya bout the pcm. Once my new intake comes in well see how it goes. I need someone thats pretty experienced with these cars to go over it with me and see what I got and what I need.

Patch up the hole and jam a piece of foam or rubber hose on that edge.
You could also loosen off the clamps and rotate it away from the edge.I wouldnt waste money on a new one.
Just fix the hole you will not see it.

I got a good deal on one so I went ahead and bought it. I took it off to inspect it and found out theres like 4 slices/holes in it so yea time for a new one. Should I worry about the other codes its giving me? I know on alot of cars one code can trigger more codes.

Ok a little update on this. I replaced the unit with a Injen Cai and since the day I did that the CEL has been on. It doesnt kick me into reduced power mode as much as when I had the hole but sometimes it does. One time I used some maf cleaner and it ran awesome for a few days. Had more power than I could ever imagine and then on like the 4th day it kicked on the CEL and has been on for over 2 months. If I reset the ecu it just comes back on within 50 miles. Could this be the maf going bad?

How can I test the MAF?
