Newbie! Bypass solenoid question

Bought a 2006 cobalt ss a few days ago and threw a code that the bypass solenoid was stuck open so I ordered a new one to replace it , went to replace this morning and noticed on the solenoid there is a port with no line connected . Is it supposed to be like this? Or is there supposed to be a line connected and ran to somewhere? As I mentioned this is my first dealings with any kind of supercharged motor so all help is appreciated!
Bottom right is the port I'm referring too .

the extra nipple is a vent. from factory there would have been a little foam filter thing on it.
