So took the cobalt into a GM Dealership for there is no 3rd Gear and the tranny is leaking oil. Stated the car is still under warranty and if they could fix this. They took the car and 2 days ago they said they would not fix the car that 3rd gear has "Blown Up" and there is a hole in the casing...So I got on the phone with GM and they kept giving me the run around that they would not cover it because of GM Stg 2, Cold Air Intake, Modified Exhaust and a meth kit that is not even hooked up and the tank is dry!!!!! So now the dealership wants 500 to give me the car back and they voided my warranty...oh and get this they also marked that there was an aftermarket wing on the car, different wheels and tires ect saying it all contributed to the malfunction...is there anything I can do or am I screwed?

 

I would think the GM stage 2 has no bearing on the voided warranty, intake/exhaust should not truly be considered and the meth kit...that's the tricky on I would think.

Wing, wheels and tires...they're just yanking ya there.

i dont see how any of your mods would cause the tranny to do that. they are probably just going to say that its from beating on the car.

try another dealer.

 

gm is tight for cash
