No boost (sometimes), car running rough

2 days ago I noticed the car just stopped boosting while driving. One minute the boost was fine, the next I had none. When a shut the car off and started it again I had boost, but only 12 pounds. I have a Trifecta 23 PSI tune. I’m thinking about putting all the stock parts back on with the stock ECU and taking it in for warranty, but is there anything I should try beforehand? No engine codes are present, but the car runs like ****.

The fuel/air ratio gauge just cut out to "no data available" and my check engine light came on. I believe the code was p2178. I'm running too lean. Help?

I thought P2178 was something like too rich at idle...

I dunno. I personally am not a fan of Trifecta tunes though.

U and me both. My buddy had trifecta infini boost and. Told him ill tune him if he gets rid of trifecta ****. he hasthat code as well as misfire on different cylinders. So I tuned him for 21lbs and tell u wut his car is a lot quicker with no codes.

But I say u blew intercooler. Charge pipes or a vacuum line off.. that explains no boost and code and afr issue.

You can put the car on a Dyno while it gets tuned.

I don't like his tunes because he sucks at tuning. Does amazing things for the community as far as things he has unlocked, etc. I just wish he would create software etc that he could distribute so that I can tune the car myself. Lots of things he can do that HPTuners can't (Adjust Fuel Pressure on SS/TC's)... but he'll never be as popular as HPTuners for the reasoning that he is the only one that does the tuning. Give me a Trifecta Program to put on my laptop so that I can tune my own car... different story.

Well I put all the stock parts back on including the stock ECU. The car barely runs. I checked the vacuum hoses. Most of them are on the top, right? I only saw about 4 or 5 hoses running from the turbo to various areas on the passenger side of the car. They're all tight. They all have little clamps on them.

Make sure the intercooler end tanks aren't busted. Check all the charge piping as well. Make sure none of them have come apart.

Internet Diagnostics is hard... but since you're Macgyver... you should be able to figure it out. Everything intake related from the filter to the Intake manifold.

I'm just taking it to the dealership tomorrow. The car only has 8,000 miles on it. I guess that's how long it's supposed to last until there are problems. I thought it was a boost leak at first, but how can you have no boost one day and have it back later on? The leak doesn't just fix itself.

They were completely confused by the Bosch stage 1 sensor GM uses. They called me right away saying it's aftermarket and not covered under warranty. I had to drive down there and show them all the receipts and part numbers for the stage 1 kit proving it's OEM GM Performance parts. What a hassle.

Dealership said it's a bad tmap sensor, but I think they're guessing.

They guessed wrong. The intercooler had a crack in the side. The end tanks probably shouldn't be plastic...
