No power when key off

Ok so I have been fixing all the small stuff that previous owners have done with the car I have bought. And I have ran into something I can't figure out..in your cobalts when you turn your car off the radio still works and you can put the windows up and down for like ten to fifteen minits after. Mine doesn't do this! Also I took out the touch screen (what a disaster back there) there is a wire going into my harness to supply the deck with power with the key. I traced the wire back to the fuse box under the hood. I have tested every wire on the back of the stock radio plug and can only find a constant power no power from key in on position. Hence the wire from the fuse box ...I also don't have the chime when the keys are left in the ignition..when the door opens...as i wright this I might have figured out the problem ( maybe) MY DOOR SWITCHS ARE BROKE ! Anyone else have any ideas? Thanks

It will chime sometimes but I still won't have power to anything ..I'll tell ya when it chimed last when I hauled my stock a pillar off lol. It's like when I give the dash a bump it starts to chime..then stops again until the next bump...like putting the plastic trims back on...I am at a loss with this one I'll check the door switches tomorrow.

Would that be the black box about two inches wide three long and half inch thick in the tangle of wires that's behind my deck lol.

Just did some research and the chime comes from your left front speaker ..maybe the speaker bitt the bullet..I found a pick of a chime box but it doesn't look like what I am talking about.

From stock the chimes come from the left speaker. If i had a pic i would show you the box that is used to retain the chimes. But if your chimes comes from the speaker then maybe remove the door cover and check wires if not your speaker is bad

The instrument cluster controls the chime and all sounds like the single light tick ..just replaced it with one from a member here. Bolt all better now ( except no power from key on radio harness ) but that's all good I have it spliced into the power window wire with a fuse so now I have everything back to normal.

u sure its fixed? could it still be not working correctly causing this issue? maybe the new one will solve it. if fuses are ok, id wait and see what that does just to eliminate it as a cause.

So when you say fixed. You're saying when you open your door the dome/map lights come on and the DIC lights up with your Odometer mileage?
