Not a big issue, but annoying!
My A/C is making this godawful squeaky rattling noise when I turn it on. The noise goes away soon as I turn it off, but even on the lowest setting, I hear it. It was just a little noticeable at first, but now it's to the point where it's just annoying. If anyone else has had this problem, my car is under warranty, but if there's a simple solution that doesn't involve the dealership, I'd love to hear it. It seems like there's just something loose somewhere, and the sound comes from the passenger side under the glovebox.
great. most of the time i don't notice it cause of the music. but occasionally it does come over the music, which means it's really loud and annoying. just one of those things i guess. it has to go to the dealer anyways, so I'll just have them look at it, or pretend to anyway...
I surprised im the 1st on this ....
It's the blower , its either broke or just uber dirty , under warranty? they can replace it in a matter of 30 minutes.
Mine did this at 3000 miles during winter Ide turn on the air and sqeuak squeak squeak , they replaced the blower (?) or blower motor in the AC/heater and now its fine.

Yep, blower motor under the dash. Shouldn't make a difference if it's AC or heat that you have it on, it'll still make the noise. I just had mine replaced about a month ago under warranty. Just about every cobalt owner I've talked to that actually uses their HVAC system has had this problem. No big deal, quick replacement at the dealer and ur set to go
Did anyone notice that the fan that comes out of the car is Hitachi or some weird name like that? I remember when I saw it, I thought to myself..."i thought they made audio equipment".
Awesome mine's going to the dealer anyways. And Hitachi makes everything known to man. Like mitsubishi sort of, if it has any amount of electronics in it they'll make it, and usually they're pretty good about it.
