OBDII code help needed

Hi I just bought my 2008 cobalt ss jan. 29. she has 5000 miles on here and the check engine light is on. First code is p0130 and the second is p0342. also the mil light says the evap problem. I filled the car 4 days ago at a cheap usa gas station with 93 octane and i am wondering if I should run the car dry maybe the codes might clear.

Can any one tell me what the codes are and what to do thnks

codes wont just go away. some codes will turn the mil light off after 3 warmup cycles without the problem happening, and will clear the code out of the pcm after 40 warmup cycles without the problem.

its possible the gascap was just loose, but your car is under warrenty, take it to the dealer and have them check it out.

Code P0130 is 02 sensor malfuncttion (sensor 1) and I can't find code P0342 in my Haynes repair manual so I couldn't tell you about that one. How many gallons did you fill up with because I ve hear dof people overfilling there gas tanks and actually filling up the evap system, there should be a thread about that on here somewhere

never mind found code P0342 its Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Low Input

P0130 is an oxygen sensor heater code. Probably the sensor, maybe the ECM. see the dealer.

P0342 is a cam sensor signal code. It means the ECM thinks there is a short to ground on the intake cam sensor circuit. Could be sensor, harness or ECM. see the dealer.
