Oil leak in front of engine

hey, I have a 2009 cobalt ss turbo and I’m leaking oil, I think that this gasket is leaking but I’m not sure what it’s called, also Is there supposed to be a bolt where one of those two bolt holes is?

Sure it's not coming from the valve cover and running down the side of the motor?

thats actually the "back" of the engine as its where the engine bolts to the trans. the bolt you are missing isnt really a big deal, it bolts the back of the oil pan to the transaxle.

the oil looks like its coming from higher up, directly above that area is the oil filter housing, and depending on the engine, the oil cooler. i would bet its leaking from somewhere up there, could also be leaking from the valve cover

Got it figured out! Some goon who did my oil change messed up on the filter so it the side of the filter facing the engine was pouring oil down the side of the block onto the back of the engine, thanks for the suggestions!
