Oil Pressure Light Flicker

So, about a week ago, I started having this small issue where the oil pressure light would come on for a second, just long enough for you to notice it, the car would chime, and it would go out. This was happening about once a day. Now it's happening almost every time I drive the car. If I run to the store, it'll go on once or twice on the way there, and once or twice on the way home. I never get any sort of message on the DIC. The oil level itself is good. Is this just a small electrical issue like a loose wire or bad sensor, or is this something I need to worry about?

Sorry, I forgot to talk about the car! It's a 2005 Cobalt Base with just under 160,000 miles. It is running a synthetic oil blend.

RIP engine.

Check the oil pressure though and the sensor.

Update: After watching when the light was coming on, I have figured out that it comes on when turning, and when the clutch is engaged. Not every time, but that's when it happens.

Sounds to me with 160 on the clock the pump may be dieing. I would definitely get it checked out unless you want to replace your engine. If you are handy with tools you might could install some kind of oil pressure gauge to verify it is having oil pressure problems. Just my guess
