I think this would be invaluable to all the people that have had 2nd gear grinding or breaking issues to submit to the stealerships about this "supposed" abuse or "working as intended" crap. Goal here is to see to what extent and how many people have come across this problem with the f23 f35 transmissions. (yea i screwed up the other one and stated f25 but you get the idea).

My dealer said it needed to "Break in".

Believe that ? I have never been back to that dealer.

 

i have 3 & 4 grind

 

3rd and 4 grind here as well. only when i shift quickly though. otherwise its fine but doesnt happen in any other gears. got this car brand new and i noticed this within days.

i get second gear, every once in a while i will shift from 1st to second, when im letting the clutch out it pops my shifter in neutral and obviously grinds, GAY

I have a problem with them all really.....mainly reverse, 4th, and 5th

 

This is soooo going to GM. I have a couple of lawyers/contract specialists that are high up on the food chain with them so im sure it will get some exposure.

 

Can you hear it grind or does it just feel like it does?

Then yup.. I get it as well. I have never heard it grind but it feels notchy sometimes going into gears (especially 3rd and 5th) and sometimes its hard to get into Reverse.

 

nothing since GM says it is normal

its the problem between the steering wheel and the driver's seat. Take your pick.

 

i have a sport, and only my 3rd gear grinds, i hate it

 

was modified for different gears. I heard more about 2nd than anyone elses 3rd and 4th so it was revised.

You will be fine imo. Anyone know what kind of time-frame (on average) a dealership takes to complete the fix?

I sent the car to the dealership tuesday at lunch and replicated the issue for them. They are starting tear-down today (thursday for later reference).

 

Signed. 3rd gear pops out when the clutch is released unless i hold it in...total crap
