Outside Temperature Wrong

Alright, I did a few searches and couldn't really find anything so if anyone has had this issue and knows how to solve it let me know. The problem is really quite simple, on my 08 cobalt SS the outside temperature on the DIC seems to be stock on 58 Degrees F. It's like 80 degrees out here and it still thinks it's a cool 58. Any ideas why it won't change?

Mine does this sometimes after I wash the car but it usually starts working after Ive driven the car a couple miles....My best bet is that the sensor is broken or mayber there is something blocking it/causing it to misread

I'm new to the car, just got it yesterday. It seems that it was on vacation today but it started working this evening. I'm not sure what the deal was there. I'm going to keep looking for a cause tho.

The sensor is probably just going bad. i think the sensor that monitors the outside temps is next to or behind one of the headlights but I don't remember for sure.

Mine did the same thing. Got stuck for about 6 hours, then started working again. Not sure what caused it. But I've only seen it once. Guessing it was just a fluke.
