Overcharging Issue on Turbo Swap

I turbo swapped my cobalt and now have run into a what appears to be an overcharging issue. I am dyno tuned on 24psi. I bought the complete turbo swap from zzp. When I get to about 10psi my dash lights, HVAC, and headlights start to get brighter. They continue to get brighter until they shut off. My dash goes completely dead. But the car still pulls its ass off. As soon as I let off everything comes back on like normal. I also get the ABS light and power steering message. Both go away instantly also. When I disconnect my alternator the problems goes away. I bought a new alt from zzp and swapped it out but still have the same issue. I also hear static in my speakers now. I replaced the ground wire on my battery and found where two sets of wires are ground under my dash. There are black marks at that particular ground. So I split them up to better grounds but still have the same issue. Is my problem my alternator and just happened to get two bad ones or is there another problem with my wiring?

something is grounding out. Check to see if you have any wires that look exposed or if you have a stereo that has a amp that is not grounded correctly or something like that.

I do have an aftermarket head unit that was installed by BestBuy. I will try to find that ground. Would a bad ground on my radio affect my lights and my dash?

Yeah, because the radio and all that stuff is wired into the BCM.

What do they do for the backwards-spinning issue on the alternator?

They send you a completely different alternator. I believe it is a 2.2 with the lsj wiring connector. So great I get to tear apart my dash tomorrow to find this little point that is not right.

It's a solstice/sky alternator if I remember correctly.

To give an update and fix to this problem for anyone who might have similar issues later... today after going through countless things for about 3 months I found something while searching on the internet to make me think my spark plugs might be the issue. So I pulled them and researched them to find out that they are non resistor plugs.(Tuner changed them) I went and got the plugs that came with the kit and poof all my problems are gone. Now I just have to find the appropriate gap and I will finally have the car I have always thought I would since May when I did the turbo swap.

Hope this helps someone down the road.
