Well i was waiting for my brother to come out of school on the parkin lot and all of a sudden my check engine light comes on(2nd time in the same day,and turned on last week as well),well i decide to take it to a shop near my house and they scanned it and code P0171 popped up..runnin lean...my mods are GM S2,Nates 2.9",and Air box mod done about 15k ago...Car Kinda runs weird when u turn on the fan for air or heat and car seems to like choke when idling(only chokes with Fans ON)..rpm goes up and down like it has cams or something..Its startin to **** me off cuz it turns on for no reason,i would understand if it comes on when im beatin on the car,but it comes on when im driving normally..Any Suggestions...im thinkin bout buying the srt4 again and goin back to the PSHHHH sound
Check for intake leaks ,I even read that the dip stick not being seated properly can cause this code.
Visually and physically inspect the following items:
• The vacuum hoses for splits, kinks, and proper connections
Inspect for the following conditions:
• The HO2S for proper installation
Inspect for the following conditions:
• Missing, loose, or leaking exhaust components
• Vacuum leaks at the intake manifold, throttle body, and injector O-rings
• The air induction system and air intake ducts for leaks
• The crankcase ventilation system for leaks
• The evaporative canister purge pipes for obstructions or plugging

well, hopefully by now your problem is already fixed. i would like to just share that when i threw that same code with my airbox mod that i didn't realize one of the rubber connectors was folded on the underside and was letting a slight amount of unmetered air into the system.
yeah i got sick of all the little problems with my car its like one day the TPS is loose and the next day my belt is slipping or its throwing a code or my downpipe breaks
