parking brake lever

My parking brake has been broke and finally got around to having the dealer give me a quote on replacing it. They quoted me $216.00 for the part and install. I looked the part up tonight on the internet and it seems to sell for between $35 and $50 on various part sites. They list the list price as only $61 from GM. Outrageous in my opinion, surely it isn't that hard to install that it would cost $155 in labor? The part number I need is 25791357. Anyone else had to have this replaced? If so how much did you pay. I am hoping to trade soon so I need to fix these little things that could detract from the value plus its getting annoying not having a parking brake that stays up. The brake itself works the only thing needing replacing is the lever so that it will stay up.

what sites did you find the parking brake on? Because mine broke a month ago and I am having a hard time locating one.

gmpartsdirect should have it as long as you have the part number (which he posted)

OP, there's a few how to's on how to get the parking brake apart, I'd give it a go replacing it yourself before letting a dealer rape you for over $200.
