PIC 104 race fuel caused P0090 code?

So went to the track and put in 2 gallons of 104(was on empty). At the beginning of my second pass of the night....right after I launched and went into 2nd gear it started sputtering and this came up on the gauge read out:
ENG PWR REDUCED
EDIT: Would NOT even reach 0 boost and had JDM like power. ie: NONE Took like a mile to get up to 50MPH and could barely get over 60 on the freeway home.

It was NOT the first time I'd had almost nothing but race fuel in there......but I think it was simply just runing WAY too rich and threw a code.

huge problem is:Even after putting 5 gallons of 93 in it and putting about 35 miles on it... 2 different Advanced Auto stores could not delete the CEL and/or code. Said....."fuel pressure regulator 1. P0090

I'm either going to have to spend $110 just for a diagnostic at Chevy AND whatever it would cost to download a stock tune to my ECU...... NO WAY. OR im going to have get the old tune reloaded from Hahn(no cable and have to send the ECU to him in IL) OR get a new tune.....maybe Trifecta? I'm hoping that would erase it completely.
Here's What I saw:

Appreciate and thoughts or advice guys!

agreed. if you're ecu reduced power to the engine, it most likely isn't b/c of the gas, at least not directly. I'm not the best person to diagnose this problem, but maybe one of your internals was damaged, and the ecu reduced power as a safety precaution? idk...

Sure hope it isn't the pump. But they are known to fail on our cars @ very low miles

unleaded 104. I DID have some wheel hop before I shifted....but it was sputtering at the same time and I REALLY REALLY hope it was the fuel just being WAY too rich or the pump failed for some reason. ?

keep the advice coming please guys. I'm off to bed.......24 hour shift coming up tomorrow.

I would DEF guess it would be your fuel pump if it was sputtering before it happened.

you need to tune for 104 the number isnt how easy the fuel burns its it ability to resist detonation

My hope is that the pump itself did not take a **** but told the car it was too rich or something to the lines of just fixing the fuel richness and clear the code and VOILA.

retune to clear code, hope that fixes it, otherwise i would say fuel pump or solenoid within the pressure regulator maybe is stuck or shot

GOT MY CAR FIXED!

Got the call Thur. "Bad news Mr. Bickler. The part to fix your car is on national backorder and will cost right at $1000 to get fixed since you've modified your car well beyond out of warranty"...... GRRRRRRRR ...........The GOOD news is they got it fixed in one day and since "Louis (GM tech that knows me very well) said you are a great loyal customer, we are keeping it out of the eyes of the service manager and covering it under warranty!"

Anyways, here is what the service invoice says:

In short:
FC: P0090

Cause: Broken connector on fuel pump connector
J5434: Replaced fuel pump on cylinder head
Part# 12625764

Cleared Codes

NO CHARGE- WARRANY

Was worried my tune would be gone but it's running perfect and strong again!

Yeah, I'm sure they would not argue with either. I'm just glad I have it back. The STI mileage was killing me DD'n that.

Well.....so I think this is a completely NEW potential big problem:

If you've read this thread you know that once my wheels started to hop, I went into 2nd gear and my car immediately went into ENG PWR REDUCED mode (safe or limp mode). Well, I went over my car with the GM tech who fixed my car and this is what happened:

My Charge Piping bounced up and down(the part that goes right over the fuel pump and sensor is the only part that really has a lot of play in it) during the wheel hop....and it popped down and broke the sensor. Not completely off, so that's why I could not find anything wrong visually when I checked it out. But the CPiping sits an inch or less above that sensor and it did not take much at ALL to bounce the piping and break it.

GM cannot just replace the sensor, they had to replace the whole ****** fuel pump too and it was $800. LUCKILY that tech kept it out of the eyes of the service manager since I was a cool loyal customer and they replaced it under warranty.

Now I'm terrified to go back to the track with it! Please try and find your own way to block or protect yourselves from having this happen!
