Exclamation piston wrong end HELP

so the other day I was taking out my crank and noticed I needed to get my rod resurfaced. As I'm reading on how/where to get it done I see my room mate remove the piston through the bottom of the engine. Now for those who don't know the crank webbing is in the way so there is no way to get it out. My problem now is, I can't compress the piston rings to get it through the cylinder. Does anyone have an idea on how I can fix this problem? Thanks guys

I'm with carstedt. Who the **** thinks of pulling pistons out the bottom? Best advice I can give is if the piston is out of the cylinder, take the rings off and then carefully push it back up through. That probably won't be easy with the limited amount of space

yeah that was gonna be my next bet, it's gonna be a B*#% to get those things off...and what sucks is I have the head off, so all the pistons that I don't need out are extremely accessible now

Can you get a ring spreader in there to take the rings off without breaking them?

So you are going to trust that someone stupid enough to push the pistons out the bottom got them back in without breaking something and put the car back together that way?

well it's not put back together. Now I have to take the piston out the top to get the rod resurfaced. and no I would not trust him to put the engine back together
