I have a 07 ss s/c and i was wondering if the aluminum subframe is standered in my car or an option. If it is standered what model cobalt has steel subframe. Also I have a cooling pipe that says saab...wtf help Thank you

Cant help ya on the subframe but Saab makes the drivetrain for our cars, check your oil pan when you change the oil, mine says Saab

Maybe you are thinking of the control arms? If so, the FE1 suspension (base through LT3/LTZ whatever, anything but an SS) had them. The SS/NA and the boosted cars have alumnium lower control arms. All cobalts have the same hydroformed steel subframes.
