Possible Exhaust problem?

I just installed a megan drift spec cat back and when i rev smoke comes out, and also everytime i finish driving my car theres a smell comming from the exhaust that kind of smells like something is burning but not really....it may sound funny but it kind of smells like pancakes or sugar being burned.

does anyone knoww what the problem might be?

Its brand new and has to burn off the manufacturing stuff. Its normal. Just o drive it REAL hard once or twice and that should do the trick.

My car did the same thing when I first put my cat back, it smelled pretty bad. But then went away within few hours of driving, I guess they were the new components being burn in. i dont know about the smoke thing.

Relax Rob it'll go away. Trust me! Every single car I've ever built the exhaust smells like **** for a day or untill I beat the hell out of it. The smell will go away, don't worry man.

may take a few hundred miles of driving, depending on your style. long trips where the pipes are staying hot will make it go away quicker than lots of short trips where the exhaust is only hot for a few minutes.
