Possible spark plug issue?
Possible spark plug issue?
Hey all--
I am new here, I used to have a Grand Prix GTP, and was really into the grandprixforums.net, but i recently sold my GTP for a cobalt in hopes of saving on some gas
.
anywayz, recently I have noticed when I cold start my car, I am having to hold the key in the start position and it takes a long time to start (15-20 seconds). Once it is running it seems fine. I have also noticed a gasoline smell when driving. I have a 2.4L N/A Cobalt SS with 64K miles on it, bone stock. To me it sounds like a plug isn't firing, but I am no mechanic and would greatly appreciate some input. If it is the plugs, what kind should I get to replace the ones that are in there now?
Thanks!

Ok i just replaced all 4 plugs and plug boots and the air filter. oil this weekend. I did notice a drop of gasoline on the underside of the fuel tank while i was working on it. I searched online and found a recall for a plastic part on the fuel pump that cracks and causes a leak. I called GM and they searched my VIN and found no open recalls and told me to take it to a dealer. Any thoughts?
