power steering

power steering just took a **** on me, little dash computer said power steering and then it went out. can anyone tell me were the power steering fluid is located and any any would be helpful.

because you are driving a cavalier lol(did they have power steering) .

What it really is is electronically assisted steering take it to the dealer its not something an average Joe would even attempt to **** with.

ya i just found out that is electronic i didn't know that. sorry for this post. damn this is gonna be expensive

give that man the door prize!! it says power steering b/c it said power steering in the crapaliers, and gm didn't change it!! SEARCH is there for a reason!

check fuses.. more than likely the motor took a **** thou. or ovr heated... saw that alot when i worked at the dealer...

open the fuse box and there is a wire in the back left a gray plug make sure its in

the owner's manual i believe has a diagram of the fuses under the hood and in the cabin.

You're going to need a new steering Column. Just take it into the dealer. It should be fixed under warrenty.

If you are out of warrenty it's going to cost you about $700.

Your speedometer hasn't also happened to stop working at the same time has it?

Yep. Part was ~$500 and service was about ~$200. I had an extended warrenty so my cost was only a $50 deductable. But I still reviewed the bill.

i wish i had the owners Manuel i bought my car used from someone, and he i guess lost it? got it cheap but im starting to regret it

so i let it rest over night i got in it this morning and started it up and drove it around and now its working again
