power steering

so right after I got my car the power steering goes out with 450 miles on it. Well I turn the car off it temporarily fixes it but within 100 feet at most sometimes 10 feet it goes out again and reads power steering. Well the recall had all ready been performed so I drive it to the dealer it sits over the weekend and they plug it up on whatever machine and drove it they said they had played with it for hours trying to get it to act up but it won't do anything. Has this happened to anybody else. Is it possible it just needed the computer reset or something. I'm clueless. Thanks

There is a power steering recall on most Cobalts. What year do you have?

It just matters on the dealership. I went in yesterday to buy an intercooler cap. Talked to a service rep about the recall. Hedid not have to ordered the part and didn't even drive the car. I am going in the morning to get the work done. Also they had the part in stock. Wish you luck.

Just an update it took the dealership aprox 40 minutes to put it in the car.
I feel a little better know the recall work was done.

Got it back yesterday evening. They put the new motor on. It had about 520 miles on it when I picked it up and now it has about 1100 so I think they got it fixed. Thanks

Wait lets see if I understand. People are having power steering problems AFTER the recall?? Mine hasnt had the recall yet and works fine, I'm afraid to get the recall work done on it now.
