Power steering calibration?

So can anyone tell me if this makes sense?

The car has been pulling to the left. It seems like the steering wheel just likes to settle 3-5 degrees left of center. I've had the car on an alignment rack twice, and both times it came back normal. This led me to suspect the power steering calibration.

I have it booked in for warranty for this problem, but does my theory make sense? What else could it be? It's really annoying, and the problem has been magnified 5 fold with my winter tires on.

Also, on a separate point, does anyone think a GM dealer is good enough to take an SS/TC seat apart and fix lumbar support? Mine has always made noise. I'm worried they'll wreck my seat taking it apart/putting it back together. What should I look for in terms of the quality of work?

Any help is appreciated.

This is all I could find on the calibration thing.
The PSCM also chooses which steering calibration to use when the ignition is turned ON, based on the production map number stored in the BCM. The PSCM contains all 8 of the steering calibrations which are different in relation to the vehicles RPOs. The PSCM has the ability to detect malfunctions within the EPS system. Any malfunction detected will cause the IPC message center to display PWR STR (or Power Steering) warning message.

And as far as the seat thing goes,my dealer sends it out to a professional so you should ask if they do the work or not.

Not only do I know they're taking the seat apart versus replacing it, they're doing it in-house. Should I just go to another dealership and push for a new seat?

ive taken the seat apart before, its very easy on a ss/sc or t/c seat. They shouldn't mess anything up. Just check for stretch marks / scratches in the upholstery.

AS far as the calibration im not sure. One issue is the steering wheel not correcting itself back to center. which i believe is the calibration needed. It could also just be installed crooked, there is a ton of splines the column connects to (you can see if under the dash, connects to the I-shaft) i just loosened mine, turned it a notch or two and put it back..

It's not installed crooked, and the problem only developed a few thousand miles ago... It's almost like there's this zone between center and 3-5 degrees left of center where the power assist is softer, allowing the wheel to dive to that side more easily.

Thanks for the tips about the seat, though. I'll see how they do and go from there.
