Power steering? Malfunction,Deadly,Need a fix

I know that our cars up until 2007 didnt have a hydrolic system for the power steering. Recently my car has been beaming the power steering in the DIC system. This has happened before and nothing was done about it when I was at the dealership because it seems to fix itself when you shut your car off. Well as of 2 days ago I was driving around a blind curve and it happened, yes I almost hit someone head on. I am taking my car to the dealership tomorrow. I have contacted Chevy and they told me to get a paperwork trail started on it. What I want to know is how many of you are having the same problem? I know from a couple of blogs that it seems to be an ongoing problem, not just with the Cobalts but other GM cars and trucks also with the electronic power steering. I know this site is imbedded with GM and the Performance Division so maybe they can give us some insight on how to fix this very important problem without breaking our bank accounts. As of right now I am seeing prices to fix this issue upwards of $2000. That is rediculous and maybe we need to get a recall before more people die from this problem.

Just wanted to let everybody know of this major problem
