Ok so I dont really no much about mufflers but, If I was to take the muffler off and put a catback would it be possible?? Or do i need a muffler for a catback

 

well a cat back is a whole exhaust from the catalitic converter back so are you asking if you can take off the muffler on the cat back or if you can just get away with taking off the stock muffler?

 

what? A catback is a full replacement exhaust from after the downpipe back. I think you mean you want to cut out the muffler and put a piece of straight pipe in? If so, look up muffler delete, lots of us have done it.

 

Well i mean can I take off the stock muffler and install a catback??? or would i need a magnaflow muffler ect.. Im really not sure if that made since ha

dude just cut off the stock muffler and weld in some straight pipe with the stock tip or bolt on the cat back.

np np plus if u just put in a straight pipe with the stock tip the cops wont look twice at ur car. itll look stock to them and theyll be happy lol
