QUICK QUESTION on TMAP Wiring

gonna sound dumb, but keep an open mind. lol

is it possible to wire the TMAP sensor exactly backwards and it still function, albeit not properly?

i wanna say no because as i was rewiring the MAP sensor i tested the connections with the wires switched backwards and it didn't work.

Here's a picture for reference, stock TMAP on the left. you swap one wire means you got two wrong

checked the wiring and it seemed to be backwards. for the stock TMAP sensor, if you're looking at the connector head from the side without the clip, the wire color order from left to right should be Green (or grey?), Blue, Yellow, Purple. This picture helped me confirm:
