Removing the plastic by the hood release

As stupid as this sounds, some how a few coins have slipped their way under my drivers seat and under the carpet, they fell in right by the rails of the seat, I believe, as this is the only opening. Anyway, when I hit bumps I hear constant jingle of coins on metal. I was trying to pull my carpet back to get under there, but the plastic strip that goes from around the hood release latch all the way down the bottom door, holding the carpet, is blocking me.

Is this just a simple snap on and off piece of plastic or what?

I just don't want to rip it off and break the damn thing.

you have to take off the door sill thing, then the kick panel will come out. There all held in with snaps

The door sill is the plate right on the bottom of the door opening. The lower kick panel (one with the hood release) sits partially underneath the sill.

I'll have to go out and look at it, but I just don't want to rip the bitch off and find out I broke it.
