I dont think it is very difficult at all just make sure you have a way to support all the wight without it flopping to one side

Yea, that shouldn't be an issue. My and a friend were thinking about doing it. As long as it isn't anything else too fucked up with the car. gmpartsdirect wants 800$ just for the beam. Eff that. I can go to a junk yard and find one for like 150$

i switched my drum axle for a rotor axle, took less than 30 minutes

make sure to start with brake lines first, then remove shocks, springs

axle is held 2 long bolts, its very simple

i got mine from at local scrap yard, complete axle with calipers rotors and wheel bearing
all for $150

this. all it is the brakes and 2 bolts on both sides that need to come off. its unbelievably easy. i dropped mine down twice before just make sure you can support the car as mentioned earlier

Ok sweet. It's at a dealership, it'll have a full inspection monday. I just know the beam needs replaced, but I don't know if anything else needs replaced. They're going to give my insurance a quote, and then me and a buddy are going to replace it ourselves.
