i wanna say you have to do it through Tech2. not to postive. I know alot of the cars can be done that way. or hold lock/unlock both at same time. theres and order to do it but ant remember. its been a while.

I think you need a Tech2. I just took it into my dealership and they reprogrammed it free. (and I'm out of warranty)

when you replace the battery you shouldn't have to relearn the fobs. pull the fob apart again and make sure you didn't damage the connectors that hold the battery in. they are extremely easy to break and if they do then the fob won't work. if you are still under warranty the dealer should cover this for you

Is it put in the correct way? The side with the battery designation should be visible.

Just had mine replaced under warranty.
The sloder jont for the battery connection in it was cracked .
The Dealer seemed to know exactly what it was and showed me so it must be a common thing.

So get it replaced under warranty.

They also need the other one(spare fob) at the time of reprogramming the new one.

Thats what happened. Both of my fobs started not working after a year or so, and both of them had one of the solder joints where the large clip around the battery attaches to the board. Cheap ghetto fix: put a piece of thin cardboard between the battery and the back half of the remote case, it will keep the connector in contact with the board. I'd say re-solder it, but you would run a pretty high risk of damaging something else on the board and the remotes aren't that expenive to make that much effort worthwhile.

If you do have to get one re-programmed, it is a quick procedure, don't let them charge you more than a half-hour of labor to do it.

Ya you have to do it with a tech 2, you go into boday then go threw your year and everythign then go to remote control door lock reciever, then it will ask you to add to next open slot, press OK, then hold lock and unluck, If you dont have a tech 2 take it to a dealership lol

I'm having this problem as well. Replaced the battery due to it not working, now still won't work. What's a "fob" and why is it this much trouble just to make the remote work again? I don't get it. :/
