RPD dimming and normal by itself

OK, so my RPD is dimming by itself and then for no apparent reason it pops back to life again. This happens in conjunction with the dashboard display and the time on the radio. Anyone got anything on this??? The dealership recently had my ECU replaced with new one and also replaced my fuel pump.....both for the same reason (ENG PWR REDUCED). Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Mine does the same thing but only when it goes from dark to light outside it dims at the the slightest bit of darkness then pops back to life when its light out i kinda wish it was the other way around cause sometimes its hard to see it if its not that dark out.

That is what happens when your auto lights come one, so your lights are either comming on or a sensor is messed up.

I noticed mine doing that.. and after a few days I realized it was the auto lights engaging. Cloudy days and bridges confuse it.

Must be a sensor then, my lights are always on. Does anyone know where the sensor is for the RPD?
