Ya so i went to get in my car tonight and forgot my little hidden compartment thingy open (the one with the trunk release) and it kinda ...broke. Not sure what all went wrong just know its broke going to look at it in the morning. Was just wondering if anyone else had done this and if so what was broke and how much it cost (most importantly). That and it would be nice to know im not the only one dumb enough to do that....

I broke the trunk release button and I always used to leave the door open and jack my knee on it when i'd get out. Therefore i never use it.

I have forgot to close the door many times. One time i broke it. They replaced it under warranty

lol ya but my dealerships a POS by broke i mean it wont close straight all the way...but can wiggle it so i know its broke or just popped out of the hinge thingy on the one side....man there are way to many thingys on cars lol

this is why I always just open that compartment with my fingers and pop the trunk with my thumb. Then I close it right after. Are you positive that you didn't just pop it out, just make sure both sides are latched in the holes they sit in.

ya i either broke the one side out or it just popped out im not really sure its like 12am here so im not going to go root around in the dark lol... just wondering what MIGHT have gone wrong just wondering if anyone else had this happen. ill take a look tommorow then try to con my dealer into fixing it as warrenty

lol i wasnt even going into the trunk i forgot my pipe in there its my secret stashing spot then i went to get in to put it back and sat down and hit it. I even hurt my knee in the whole ordeal...hopelly my knees still have warrenty too...

it should pop out before it breaks. i've knocked it out a few times. one side has to go in before the other can. just take a look at it when you have light in the morning.

its useful to hold my camera but i have knocked my knee into it a few times. it provides quick access to my camera, and it don't get in the way with my sidekick under the space between the radio and console, and cell in the cup holder and ipod in the other cup holder.

Definitely broke mine when I was drunk getting money out to pay for a taxi (spent all my bills at the bar.. lol)

Dealership replaced it no prob had them do the door grabber trim thingies too.. lol

i didnt know about it for the longest time. i was looking for the trunk release and couldnt find it. the one day i was cleaning the car and found it haha. it is a handy do dad. i put my wallet in there on long trips and i have a pen and a couple tire pressure guages 0-50psi and 0-20psi. never broke it though.

Ive broken mine, the hinge or piviot point on the left. Drilled a hole throught the cover and piviot point used some JB Weld and a screw, sanded down the top of the screw and you cant even tell. Works just like it originally did.

I kept leaving mine open then getting out of the car. After a few times it stressed a piece of plastic and wouldnt close straight so I took it out before i broke it off all the way.

I keep all my change in there for parking meters and such. Pretty convenient.

Speekings of that, for some reason when I took my trunk switch out, and put it back in. Now it won't work. I gotta figure out wtf i did and fix it :P
