so i got in my car today put the key in the ignition. didn't turn it or anything i left it there for about 10 seconds because i had to put my sun glasses in the case.
Than i started the car. backed up out of my parking spot. than i stopped and had to get out to get something out of my truck i left in there. when i got out of the car i heard 2 chimes and than i got back in and saw the security light was lit up. so i drove to where i had to go and it stayed lit.
i turned the car off to see if it would lock me out and make it not be able to start back up, that didn't happen and the car started right up.

why is the light on for? and how do i turn it off?

i am a 08 ls 2.2. manual locks. no alarm no aftermarket alarm. first time this has ever happened.

will resetting the battery get rid of this for me?

any possibility it is linked to my ignition cylinder which i never got replaced by recall?
what about a bad transponder in the key?
