nope never. i hardly beat on my car. I dont have a clue when this could have happend. The wear on the lobes of the cam is pretty even across them all so Im guessing its recent. But I dont know when

lucky the broken lash adj. didn't roll around and clip a cam lobe and jam open a valve or worse...

i dont think it can but i maby be wrong.....also usually if these break the car shuts down 2 cylinders...thats what mine did anyways

this happened to my lsj, cause of that 2 rockers were wondering around the head and destroyed plenty. long story short am wainting now for a new motor...thats how bad it was...

yeah ever since mine went...i get random knock some days and then other days its good. and i did a leak down test an now i have a 30% on #3 cylinder max spec is 25% but car runs perfect and they wont tear it rite now till she pops......i want a new motor

Take a good look, he still had one valve on that cylinder operating, the car wouldn't really be able to tell the difference unless you were deep into boost.

I think it was very recent, as in, the last couple hundred miles or less.

now im scared, i accidently went down into 2nd instead of 4th when i first had the car but i dont hear anything wrong with the engine.

i wunt be suprised if it did some damage....i was passing a couple cars and i hit a pot hole while i NLS to 4th and hit 2nd.....did u catch it rite away? or did they slam off the redline?

if u seen it hit that and only that u should be good....my tuners hit high 9,000's and his is fine(due to his gf driving stick the first time lol)...im not sure what mine hit to blow tho...also there is no rev limiter on a down shift

yeah i found that out the hard way lol, i mean it drives just like it did when i got it, th motor was also fresh like 700 miles on it so everything being new might have helped. Im just glad i didnt have the ***** to do a nls then lol.

Ive seen this issue on a cobalt prior

DO NOT DO AS SUGGESTED PREVIOUSLY! Take the cam out, re time the motor, do it as you are supposed to.

You are going to end up with a scratched cam, miss set timing, and the destruction of your head.

If you arent familiar with this type of work, then enlist the help of someone who is. SERIOUSLY.

I am a professional, I spend 70+hrs a week dealing with this sort of thing and the amateur will always destroy it, and trust me you dont want the bill that will come with a head rebuild.
