Serious Problem?

ok so i've had my cobalt ss for 2 weeks now, and i bought an aem cai and installed it and then the cel came on. Now it seems that in second that car will not go untill about 3,000 rpms. It seems like the computer is cutting off the motor because i have it floored and u can just feel it lagging really bad. I have searched all over the place and i can not find anything that helps me out on this problem. Can someone people tell me how to fix the cel for the cia, or what could be wrong in second? I called dealerships and they claim gm has no fix for it. Can someone please help me, i'd hate to pay 200 bucks for something i can't even use.

sounds like its in limp mode, disconnect battery, re adjust your new filter and piping and it should work itself out.

I did the disconnect the battery while I installed my Injen. Once I reconnected it, the cel came on like I had expected, but after 15 mins the car figured it out, cel went off hasnt come back on 2100kms. Try that route!
