Service traction control
Service traction control
I have a 2007 Chevy cobalt SS 2.4. I am having a Service traction control light come on with the hard shifting when accelerating. I had P0014 code for 'B' Camshaft Position - Timing over -Advanced or system Performance Bank 1 pop up today. The only real issues I’ve had with my Cobalt was a water pump replacement a few months ago and recently was low on oil which seems to be a gasket leak - currently working to resolve (new gasket ordered). Has anyone had this issue or have any tips on figuring out the root cause?
Update - replaced MAF sensor, checked solenoids to ensure they click/were clean, replaced wheel bearings, and oil change. Still have the service light popping up, some days it doesn’t show up or goes away and will drive perfectly fine. I checked the wiring as well and all looked to be in good condition. After looking at the rotors it seems that the calipers are either seized or very stiff. I think the calipers may be causing drag on rotation which could be triggering the traction control light.
