a few weeks ago i was shifting really easy on my 09 ss/tc.. and the bottom of the shifter that connects to the linkage.. snapped... gm didnt have the part and I had to drive a chevy impala granny style for 3 days! they tried to blame it on my hurst shifter but couldnt come up with solid proof so they warrantied it.. has anyone had this happen to them with stock shifter or any shifter for that matter..

 

Broke mine at the track. worst noise in the world. i didnt want them to call abuse so i just fixed it myself. in order to get just that part you need a whole new shifter

 

do you have a sts or stock shifter??
