Question Shift Linkage maybe?

So the other day I was driving on US Route 10 going north, heading to Huntington. About thirty minutes into the trip i noticed my shifts were a lot longer than normal, I have a TWM sts. After gearing down into fourth to take a turn i tried putting it back into fifth and there were no gears to be found. Pulled off the side of the road and called dad to come pick me up. Luckily I pulled into a local auto repair shop on the side of the road. Any thoughts on what could be wrong...

Thanks for any info, the shop is going to look at it tomorrow and determine what it could be. Thought you guys would be able to tell me before they do. And what would cause this to go out...

Is it just 5th or 1st and 3rd also, but pull up the cup holder and check the linkage to see if its broken,If not that then check the roll pin on the transmission,

i pulled it all apart... didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, seeing as how i put the shifter in. hopefully its an easy/non-expensive fix

well it's fixed... it was the sheer pin on the transmission. total cost $159.
