Unhappy Shifter not lining up

So you know how when the shifter is in neutral it springs into line up with 3rd and 4th gear? well mine isn't doing that. it will just stay wherever i leave it in neutral whether that be just coming out of 1st or what not. Could it be some type of spring that is broken or what is ya'lls opinion on the situation?

if it still goes into all the gears it sounds like youve broken the actual shift assembly on the transmission.

I dunno, it was like this when i got it from the dealership in New York.

Yes it still goes into gear fine.

You have a diagram or pic of what could be wrong/broken?

The part thats broken is the actual shift levers assembly that bolts to and goes in the trans. You need to get it looked at ASAP because if a piece of it falls in you could totally destroy the trans. Yeah youre WS6 is gonna feel different

Just got a call from the dealership. You were right it is the shift assembly. Sucky thing is that it has to be special ordered all the way from Montreal, Canada.... i got the car back in the mean time but it will be 7 to 10 days for this part to arrive then another day for the install :/
