Shifter smoothness...

Ok, I need some peoples opinions who really know there balt well.. My cars going in for synchro problems Tuesday and today when I was coming home from work, I got on it hard in second gear and passed someone, then into third hard, then went I went to shift into fourth, the slot was blocked.. ****. I had to roll in neutral to a slower speed then I dropped it into third and shifted into fourth after at a normal speed without any synchro problems. When I got home I parked the car and went though the gears while stopped a few times with the clutch in to feel it out and see what was up... I noticed going into first and second, the shifter is not 100% smooth, second especially.. Its like theres this one point where the shifter wants to stick, same place all the time.. When I shift into third like this its smooth as butter.. in and out every time totally smooth. Fourth is nice and smooth too and fifth is a little sticky, but not too bad.. SO to you people who know your car well, would you say every gear has the same feel when you shift the shifter into position??? Or are they all kinda unique?? Does anyone else notice if third gear is smoother to shift into then the rest?? Thanks.

they dont all feel identical.

I think its pretty normal for them to all have a very slightly different feel.

Ok.. mabey they all have a different feel, but would you say they also take different amounts of force to engage?

not really.

i dont think you really have to apply much more force to get into any particular gear.

mine will do that every once in a long while when i try to put it into first, if it happens i just put it in second and move it into first and it'll be smooth as butter again. i'm not really sure what that is but i've never had that problem for fourth

ive occasionally had that when shifting to first...usually from reverse.
usually i just go back to neutral, into reverse again, then go for first again. usually slips in no prob.
