Speedometer Recalibration

ok so obviously the supercharged SS's speedometer only goes up to 160mph. once you get the stage 2 upgrade and an ecu tune your car is going to be able to exceed that speed. mine has and i know that it is only going to get faster. SOOOOO i'm curious as to a few things:
A) how is it done?
B) how expensive is it?
C) have any of you out there done this with ANY car?
and lastly D) what company/shop makes new speedometer inlays for the cobalt ss that read AT LEAST 180mph that anybody knows of?

Want me to be serious? Have you upgraded your suspension, brakes or tires to handle those kinds of speeds?

We don't have to go out of our way. You did the hard work for us.

Quoted to show that we are smarter in grammar and punctuation alone.

Adam, just so you know... as you go up in speed, you require an exponential level of HP..

Thus why the 1001 Hp in the quad turbo Veyron... It's slick as snot aerodynamic.

I doubt your little wing would last past 260Km/H, Did you even bother to calculate if the transmission will allow for that speed. You'd probably be at 9000 RPM...

what does that have to do with anything? isn't the whole point of these forums to inform and share information? i just think that you guys are bored and would rather stare at a computer screen as opposed to spending quality time with your significant others...that is considering that you do have wifes/girlfriends/boyfriends?... SO once again...if you don't have any valid info...stfu...

Dude, I'm telling you that your car will never get to that speed, so why bother.

Just get out your bubblejet printer and make your own overlay to impress your 14 year old friends..

A) Most auto repair shops can do it, how could you not know this
B) How ever much they charge an idiot that knows nothing about speedo calibration
C) It does not matter what we have done to our cars, because we have no need to go 160+
D) No company makes the overlays because they have enough sense to know most people have decided that speeds that high if they could reach them are dangerous, and they have enough common sense to not do it.

Also his reference to thy veyron was saying that just stage 2 alone will make your car go 160+ your lucky if your car can keep making more power at 140MPH

Your track equipment will inform you of your speed.

I'm not one to bash or jump on board bashing, but I just had to state the obvious: it's "smarter than me"
