To start off im driving an 06 Cobalt SS with 15,000 miles. The problem im having is sporadic, i bought the car back in Febuary and its happened about five times at differnt intervals. I'll be sitting there at a redlight, or in a drive through line, and when i go to pull away my rpm's go crazy dropping down to almost zero and then rocketing back up to around 1500. Then the engine starts spitting and sputering and it sounds like its bout to choke out. This goes on for 5-10 minutes. Sometimes if i turn the car all the way off and let it set for about 10-15 seconds it'l fire back up and run fine. Im gonna schedule an appointment with the dealership next time off, wanted to see if anyone had a similar problem though. Thanks in advance.
