Ive got a 2006 ss/sc. it has an air box mod, zzp header and down pipe, 3 inch to a super 40 flomaster, stage 2 clutch, motor and trans mounts. 80000 miles.

now for the problem, everything has been great with the car until today, its like 98 where Im from, car was running fine nothing wrong at all, i was on the road for probably 35 min. parked it and went into a store for no more then 20 min. when i came back it wouldn't start. it seemed like a dead battery until i opened the hood and smelled hot as hell electric type smell. i tried to start it again and it would turn over once or twice super slow and then white smoke came out from up in front of the engine "starter". its like the starter has to strain really hard to crank it over. any help! im going on vaca here soon and its 26 hours there and 26 hours back so i really want the car to be top notch.

 

well i figured it out, my ac compressor froze up.

 

Ouch. That's a pricey fix.
