probably because it's cold. makes sense since it goes away once it's warmed up.

Damn man. I haven't stood next to any Cobalts that sound like that. Sounds like something needs lube.
I don't know bro but good luck with it.

Bump for the man.

That doesn't sound good. Is your belt on all of the pulleys straight? Maybe the bearing in the idler pulley needs some grease?

take high grit sandpaper to the outside edges of the belt if it's frayed (while running...watch your fingers)

if not, it might just be a pulley

Sounds like the tensioner, take it to dealer

i have had somehwat same noise twice..
the tensioner is oil pressure based, when its cold it takes a bit for it to go away...
i have already had 2 new tensioners put in, at the same time, it it has been going on for a while, (my chain marked up the block a bit)

dealer replaced tension (2times) and the chain (once)

Spray some dry silicon lube on the belt and see if it goes away. If it does then you know it is the belt rubbing on something. If it does not go away then it is a bearing on one of the pullies, probably the tensioner.

Mine was doing that also after the stage two was installed. what might be happening is that they did not align the pulley and the pulley is off by a hair. so if you dry lube the belt and the sound goes away that is probably what has happened. Just take it in and have the pulley re-adjusted.

cheers and hope this helps
