My .02 on resurfacing rotors for like $40 more I can just get new ones and not have to worry about it for a hell of a long time lol

So the either way by doing both pads and rotors that has got to fix the problem

Anybody know anything about Callehan Rotors and pads?

I've had the same problem too. Changed my front rotors, as they were warped on the inside. Also changed my brake pads from ceramic to organic. For both these options, I went with the cheapest brand available.

Most of the problem is fixed, I do still feel it shake sometimes a bit when there's a lot of brake dust on the rotors.

Cool I found rotors and pads for 80 shipped then I will have to take a day off to do them.

My input, don't go cheap on the pads. You can get a great set of pads for $50, and they make a huge difference. Rotors will be ok unless you are going very high end, there isn't much gain. But cheap ass pads can ruin a set of rotors and are just in general sucky to have.

Raybestos PG pads are great and reasonable, i've used them on a couple of my cars and never had issues. Better than any crappy pads.

Another issue is not many say Rear drum only like this one

It concerns me that they have to be specific to my car because GM sucks and gave me rear drums

when u change the rotors and pads make sure to clean the rust and **** off the hub clean and regrease the sliders and get the rust and crap out of the caliper braket and antisieze where the pads touch the braket. if u do all that, and not get lube/antisieze everywhere i guarentee u good solid shake free noise free braking. its just a proper service instead of just slapping them on.

Lol, glad to see i'm not the only one. I do all my brake jobs properly and correctly, takes time but I never get squeaks or bullshit.

Im Having the same issue right now with my SS/TC, i put SS/SC rims on it an they had a shake at 60MPH so i took them off the next day and ever since ive had a vibration only when i brake. could it be a tie rod or alignment issue before i spend an arm and a leg on rotors?

You probably didn't torque them down evenly and warped a rotor. Gonna need to get the rotors cut or replace them.

Not really. It gets worse when they are hot or at higher speeds.

Do you feel the shaking through the steering wheel when braking mildly at highway speeds?

Problem solved picking up parts in the morning.

Damn pass front break caliper was locking up apparently the dealership knew it and just replaced the pads before they sold it cause the pads looked brand new. The car had been doing it since I got it but very little at first and then got worse.

This is why I love my Cobalt and my repair knowledge, after taking it apart and looking bam cheap fix compared to the dealership.

No not all the time, sometimes it will and sometimes it won't. Now i have a small shake at 60MP/H. its not bad but its noticable and annoying. any ideas? Sometime i get a noise which sounds like its coming from the front right caliper. ill have to take it off and look at it

Get tires balanced and turn the rotors and should be good to go
